PRIVACY GREEN TILE & STONE UNDERLAY
To insure a luxury rating sound isolation for a stone and tile floor we have to take additional steps. When a tile and stone floor is installed to the subfloor using mortar; this provides a direct connection to the floor framing. This direct mechanical connection is the source of footstep vibration traveling to the room below.
Privacy Green Tile & Stone Underlay™ should be used to isolate a new tile or stone floor from the existing plywood subfloor. You will then have a surface that you can apply mortar to without creating a mechanical connection to the original subfloor.
