PRIVACY SPEAKER COVERS
Privacy Fire Rated Speaker cover is a dome-shaped intumescent cover which has been designed to help maintain the integrity of fire rated ceilings when penetrated by in-ceiling loudspeakers.
The unique design gives the architect, specifier and installer more freedom in speaker selection as the covers are suited to a wide range of recessed speakers.
The flexible and lightweight nature of the covers makes installation quick and easy, reduces the stress put on the ceiling and significantly reduces labor costs compared to standard dry-walled box constructions.
The sound absorbing properties of the Privacy Fire Rated Speaker Cover enhance the acoustic rating of the structure for crisp and clean sound.

PRIVACY RECESSED DOWNLIGHT COVERS
Maintaining a sound rated ceiling with can lights, or downlights, continues to be a difficult task. Until now the options included building drywall boxes or even using a lightweight concrete layer on the ceiling above. Both options are very costly, and in some cases impossible to do after the fact.

Privacy Recessed Downlight Covers are UL Rated, and will meet the International Building Code for any type ceiling. Both one-hour and two-hour fire rated covers are available. Additionally, we carry covers for ceiling mounted speakers, fluorescent light fixtures and more.
Privacy Recessed Downlight Cover Options
One Hour Fire Rated Downlight Cover:
PRLC-1 is an one hour rated cover for both 6" and 8" recessed lights. Meet the Fire Code and block noise in or out of the room in one step.
Two Hour Fire Rated Downight Cover:
PRLC-2 has a two hour fire rating where commercial requirements cannot be met with PRLC-1. Same easy installation and the same excellent noise control in one step.
Performance Downight Covers:
When a fire rating is not required we have a version of our covers that will provide the same benefits at a lower cost. Residential applications with blown insulation are typical with our Performance Light Covers.

PRIVACY ACOUSTICAL PIPE WRAP
A composite material featuring a flexible one pound per square foot reinforced foil-faced loaded vinyl noise barrier bonded to a 1" thick quilted fiberglass sound absorber. Used to wrap noisy pipes, ducts, valves and fan housings.
Application of Pipe and Duct Wrap:
Privacy Acoustical Pipe Wrap Typically used to wrap noisy pipes and ducts to block the noise that transmits through the walls of the pipe or duct as air or other contents move through it. ACOUSTICAL SEALING TAPE
Acoustical Seal tapes will effectively damp sound and vibration. High-tack adhesive backing adheres tightly to your soundproofing surfaces. Apply Acoustical Seam Tape over Soundproof Barrier seams to reduce sound leaks between rooms.
Vinyl Seam Tape
Heavy duty, very tacky seam tape to be used when soundproof barrier seams occur on the face of the wall studs. Vinyl Seam Tape will prevent buckling of the Soundproof Barrier seams before drywall is installed.

PRIVACY REPLACEMENT DUCT
There are many applications where a silencer is not required. Typical occurrences are office to office noise in work environments. It not unusual with low cost office environments for the air space above a drop ceiling to open, not insulated, and for the ducts to be extremely lightweight. Voices from other offices or the hallway can easily migrate into the ducts and travel into your space.
In many cases we can reduce noise traveling through ducting by replacing a portion of the duct with Privacy Replacement Duct. These lightweight replacement sections are available 10' long, and are sized according to your existing ducts.
A perforated aluminum core is wrapped with a foil faced blanket of insulation to offer high R Value, and excellent noise reduction. Privacy duct is durable, easy to install, and will provide meaningful noise reduction in the voice ranges for all applications.

Perforated Metal Core:
The Privacy Duct Silencer core is constructed from one ply of perforated and corrugated aluminum with interlocked seams, folded flat and knurled for flexibility and strength.
Fiberglass Insulation Wrap:
The core is then completely wrapped with a blanket of fiberglass insulation.
Privacy Double Deflection Hangers
HND Series house a neoprene element in a sturdy steel housings. Top and bottom steel plates allow for uniform load distribution. All elements are color coded for ease of identification. HND has a projected collar to prevent metal to metal contact between rod and bracket.

PRIVACY DUCT SILENCERS
Our Privacy Duct Silencers are designed to be the best performing insertable option for privacy between rooms. At 60" long and less than 10 lbs, these silencers will significantly reduce sound transmission from both the fan motor and noise created in your home theater, studio, or kids playroom.
Many times the ducting for heat and air is overlooked as a potential flanking path, sometimes reducing the effectiveness of our soundproofing design by 15%. We now have a cost effective, simple to install, solution for just this type problem.
Privacy Duct Silencers are compatible with rigid metal ductwork (round or square), and any flexible ducting. Silencers are sized according to diameter of the existing duct. The installation is as simple as making a 60" cutout in the existing duct and inserting the silencer, taping the joints, and you are done.

Perforated Metal Core:
The Privacy Duct Silencer core is constructed from one ply of perforated and corrugated aluminum with interlocked seams, folded flat and knurled for flexibility and strength.
Fiberglass Insulation Wrap:
The core is then completely wrapped with a blanket of fiberglass insulation.
2-Ply Metal Sleeve:
The exterior sleeve is constructed with two plys of aluminum permanently fused together and corrugated, creating a continuous inner and outer surface that is airtight, flexible, and strong. Inlet and outlet collars are then attached to the ends.
SILENSEAL ACOUSTICAL SEALANT
Silenseal Acoustical Sealant is a water-based sealant designed to reduce sound transmissions in walls and partition systems. Its primary function is to achieve and maintain the specific STC (Sound Transmission Class) value of the system design.
Silenseal Acoustical Sealant remains permanently flexible and adheres firmly to wood or metal studs, concrete, gypsum board and most other types of building substrates. Maintains a tough rubber-like seal against air-borne sound, air infiltration and moisture. Our Silenseal Acoustical Sealant offers fast, smooth, easy application. Clean up is also quick and easy with just soap and water.

SEALTIGHT PUTTY PADS
Sealtight Putty Pads are designed to be applied to the external surfaces of metallic and nonmetallic electrical boxes. They are applied to the back surface of the box, as well as the three sides that are away from the stud, to combat sound bleed through the electrical box cutout in a wall.
Install Sealtight Putty Pads after the gypsum board is applied to one side of the wall and before it is closed in on the other side. Installing the Putty Pad after one side of the wall is covered with drywall requires some technique. The pad must be applied to the box and then either lapped over the front of the tile plate (if one is used) or excess material must be worked toward the front of the box and built up into a compressible gasket much like the pinched area of a pie crust. This gasket compresses between the front edge of the box and the gypsum board as it is installed.
